Tranard E. Sheppard Identified as Teen Fatally Shot in Warrenville

WARRENVILLE, S.C. — The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the fatal shooting of Tranard E. Sheppard, an 18-year-old Warrenville resident, whose body was discovered early Sunday morning.

Deputies responded to a report of gunfire around 1:48 a.m. near the intersection of Sarah Street and Farrell Street. Upon arrival, they found Sheppard lying in a yard in the 400 block of Sarah Street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene at approximately 2:56 a.m., according to Aiken County Coroner Darryl Ables. The coroner confirmed Sheppard’s identity and stated that an autopsy will be conducted in Newberry as part of the ongoing investigation.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear. No suspects have been identified, and authorities have not released any information regarding a possible motive.
