Tragic Shooting on Catherine Street, South Glens Falls
On the afternoon of April 22, 2025, a tragic shooting unfolded on Catherine Street in South Glens Falls, New York, just steps from Saratoga Road. At approximately 12:25 p.m., a man was shot in broad daylight, critically wounded by the gunfire.
Medics arrived swiftly on the scene, where they worked tirelessly to stabilize the victim before calling in a LifeNet helicopter for immediate transport to a nearby hospital. The helicopter landed on Reynolds Road, ensuring the victim received the emergency care they so desperately needed. Despite the rapid response, the victim’s injuries proved to be fatal.
Authorities responded quickly to the situation, tracking the shooter to Jackson Avenue in South Glens Falls. The suspect was apprehended and is currently in custody as the investigation continues.
