Tragic Shooting in Richland County Leaves Woman Dead; Suspect in Custody
RICHLAND COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA — A tragic act of violence unfolded Saturday evening in Richland County, leaving one woman dead and a man in custody. Authorities have identified the victim as Nisaha Blanco, and the alleged shooter as 37-year-old Dexter Fuller, who now faces charges of murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that deputies responded to a report of a shooting around 6:30 p.m. in the 4300 block of Candlelite Drive, a residential area located just off Bluff Road. When deputies arrived at the scene, they discovered Blanco lying on the ground near a vehicle, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Deputies immediately began performing CPR in an attempt to save her life until emergency medical personnel arrived. She was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, but despite their efforts, authorities say Blanco succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
Suspect Identified and Arrested
