That individual was later identified as  Nay Williams, a beloved member of the community. In a tragic and disturbing turn, the driver involved fled the scene on foot, abandoning both the wreckage and their responsibility.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department has launched a full investigation and continues to search for the suspect who fled.
