ROME, NEW YORK —Tragedy struck the city of Rome on the evening of Monday, June 9, 2025, when a serious traffic accident claimed the life of Logan A. Kerber. The collision, which involved a motorcycle and an SUV, occurred at approximately 7:50 p.m. at the intersection of Black River Boulevard and East Pine Street.
According to the Rome Police Department, Kerber was operating the motorcycle when the crash occurred. Emergency responders arrived at the scene within minutes and found him suffering from critical, life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Rome Health Hospital, where—despite the valiant efforts of medical staff—he was later pronounced dead.
Authorities have not yet released Kerber’s age, and details surrounding the crash remain limited as the investigation remains ongoing. The condition of the SUV driver has not been disclosed, and it is still unclear whether any charges or citations will be issued.
