Recent High School Graduate in Cullman Killed in Tragic Motorcycle Crash
CULLMAN COUNTY, AL — Heartbreak has struck the Cullman community following the tragic death of 18-year-old Colby Strong, a recent graduate of West Point High School, who lost his life in a motorcycle crash on Tuesday, June 18, 2025.
According to the Cullman County Coroner’s Office, Colby was riding a 2005 Falcon 200 motorcycle when it collided head-on with a 2002 Ford F-350 on Highway 278 near Cullman County Road 400. Authorities reported that the impact threw Colby from his motorcycle, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Alabama State Troopers are currently investigating the crash to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The news has devastated the local community and left West Point High School in mourning.

He was known for his infectious smile, his love of the outdoors, and his dedication to friends and family. Whether riding motorcycles, helping a neighbor, or simply spending time with those he cared about, Colby lived life with purpose and kindness.
As his loved ones mourn the loss of a young life taken far too soon, plans are being made for a memorial service to honor Colby’s memory. Support is also being provided to students and staff at West Point High School as they process this sudden and painful loss.
