Two Men Dead After Early Morning Shooting Outside San Antonio Bar
SAN ANTONIO, TX – A violent confrontation in the early morning hours of Sunday has left two men dead following a shooting in the parking lot of Luna Bar & Lounge, located at 6740 San Pedro Avenue on the city’s North Side.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, officers responded to the scene around 5:30 a.m., after reports of gunfire outside the bar. Witnesses told investigators that a group of women were involved in a fight in the parking lot when two men nearby began arguing. The verbal altercation quickly escalated, and firearms were drawn, leading to an exchange of gunfire.
One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene. The second man was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries, authorities confirmed.
Police have not yet determined the relationship, if any, between the two men involved in the shooting. Their identities have not yet been publicly released pending notification of next of kin.
At this time, no suspects are in custody, and no arrests have been made. It remains unclear whether either of the deceased individuals were the shooters or if additional suspects may have fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.
Detectives are actively investigating the incident, reviewing surveillance footage from nearby businesses and interviewing witnesses. The area was cordoned off for several hours as crime scene investigators processed evidence.
This marks yet another violent episode in what has become an increasingly troubling trend of late-night and early-morning shootings in San Antonio’s bar and nightlife districts.
Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has any information to contact the San Antonio Police Department or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
The investigation remains ongoing, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
