EAST RIDGE, TN — A deep sense of sorrow has settled over East Ridge as the community mourns the passing of Leah Brundidge, a woman whose life was defined by love, compassion, and unwavering devotion to family, faith, and service. Her recent passing leaves a profound void in the lives of all who were blessed to know her.
Leah was more than a mother, grandmother, and friend—she was a guiding light whose gentle strength and selfless nature lifted others in times of need. Affectionately known as “Lady Di” in her workplace and “Mamaw” to her adoring grandchildren, Leah embodied the spirit of nurturing, humility, and resilience. Her presence was calming, her words were wise, and her kindness knew no bounds.
She approached every role in her life with grace—whether she was preparing a Sunday meal for her family, offering a word of encouragement to a coworker, or volunteering in her church and community. Her faith was the foundation upon which she built her life, and she lived each day as a quiet example of compassion, integrity, and purpose.
“Leah didn’t just show up—she gave her whole heart,” one family member shared. “She made people feel seen, heard, and loved. Her door was always open, and so was her heart.”
Those who knew Leah will remember her not just for the warmth of her hugs or the sound of her laughter, but for the way she made others feel—valued, cared for, and never alone. She was the kind of person who remembered your favorite pie, who called just to check in, and who prayed quietly for others long after they’d left the room.
A celebration of life will be planned to honor Leah’s remarkable legacy. Friends, family, and all who were touched by her love and light will be invited to gather, share stories, and celebrate the extraordinary woman she was. In this time of mourning, her loved ones invite the community to reflect on the many ways Leah’s kindness enriched their lives.
Though her physical presence is no longer with us, Leah’s spirit remains—woven into every life she touched, every lesson she taught, and every act of love she inspired.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness in Leah’s memory—whether it’s a handwritten note, a meal shared, or time spent with someone in need. That is how she lived, and that is how she would want to be remembered.
Leah Brundidge, “Mamaw,” “Lady Di” — your legacy of love will never fade.
Your family, your friends, and your community will carry your memory in their hearts, always.
Rest in peace. You were truly one of a kind.
