One Dead, Two Injured in Shooting Outside Cache 42 Parking Lot, Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Confirms
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A night out turned tragic on Saturday when gunfire erupted outside Cache 42, leaving one person dead and two others injured, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO).
Deputies were dispatched shortly after 10 p.m. to the 4200 block of Hacks Cross Road following reports of a shooting in the parking lot of the popular Memphis nightlife spot. Upon arrival, officers discovered multiple shell casings at the scene, indicating a chaotic and violent exchange.
Three were found suffering from gunshot wounds:
- Two victims, both males, were transported to Germantown Methodist Hospital in non-critical condition.
- The third victim, identified as 18-year-old Cornelius Otis Jr., was taken to Regional One Health in critical condition. Tragically, he later succumbed to his injuries.
The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that the shooting remains under active investigation. No suspects have been named at this time, and authorities have not yet determined a motive behind the incident.
