MOTORCYCLIST KILLED IN CRASH ON LANCASTER DR SE IN SALEM
SALEM, Ore. — A tragic accident late Thursday night has claimed the life of 33-year-old Jesse Wadley, a Salem resident and motorcycling enthusiast. The fatal crash occurred just before 10:00 p.m. on June 5, 2025, at the intersection of Lancaster Drive SE and Glenwood Drive SE, prompting a swift response from emergency services.
According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, multiple 911 callers reported a severe collision involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle. Upon arrival, first responders found the motorcyclist critically injured. Wadley was transported to Salem Hospital, where, despite the efforts of medical staff, he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated fully with law enforcement officials. A passenger in the vehicle sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Their condition has not been publicly disclosed.

At this time, no arrests have been made, and no citations have been issued. The investigation remains active, and officials have not ruled out the potential for future updates as more information becomes available.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office expressed its gratitude to the Marion County Fire District, Marion County District Attorney’s Office, Marion County Public Works, and the Willamette Valley Communications Center for their assistance during the emergency response and investigation.
“We extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Jesse Wadley during this heartbreaking time,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. “Our thoughts are also with the occupants of the other vehicle, as we work to fully understand the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.”
