According to authorities, the shooting occurred around 11:30 p.m. near the bustling intersection of Perkins Road and Cottonwood Road, right next to a Sonic Drive-In and outside a local eatery known as The Mexican Spot — a well-frequented venue known for its lively atmosphere and late-night crowd.
Witnesses described a scene of terror and confusion as the sounds of gunshots shattered the evening’s calm. Diners inside the restaurant reportedly ducked for cover as people outside scattered in all directions.
