LAKE OZARK, Mo. — The community of Lake Ozark is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Chad Hult, a beloved mentor, coach, and friend whose impact stretched far beyond the athletic field. His passing has left an undeniable void in the hearts of those who knew him, taught alongside him, and learned from him.
Chad was not only a coach to young athletes—he was a role model and a guiding light. Known for his unwavering belief in the potential of every student he mentored, Chad shaped lives with his values of integrity, leadership, compassion, and hard work. To his players, he was a motivator. To his colleagues, a leader. And to the community, a source of strength and kindness.
He believed that sports were more than games—they were opportunities to build character, teach resilience, and forge lifelong values. Through every practice, every lesson, and every conversation, Chad left behind wisdom and warmth that will endure in the hearts of those he guided.
Chad was a proud graduate of Moberly Senior High School. He pursued his education at Graceland University, where he studied business, and later continued his academic journey at Central Methodist University. His educational background, paired with his natural ability to connect with people, made him a trusted figure in and out of the classroom.
Those who knew Chad speak of his infectious energy, sense of humor, and tireless dedication to others. Whether coaching on the sidelines or offering life advice off the field, Chad had a way of making everyone feel seen, heard, and valued.
“He changed the direction of my life,” one former student shared. “Chad didn’t just make me a better athlete—he made me a better person.”
While his passing has left the community in mourning, Chad’s legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched. The values he instilled—leadership, responsibility, perseverance, and compassion—will continue to echo through every young man and woman who had the privilege of knowing him.
A memorial service celebrating Chad Hult’s life and the legacy he leaves behind will be announced soon. In the meantime, the Lake Ozark community joins together in remembering a man who gave his heart to others and made the world better because of it.
Chad Hult will be deeply missed—but never forgotten. His spirit lives on in the lives he shaped, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely.
