In Loving Memory of Tricia (Ricia) Nichols – A Life Well Lived, Forever Remembered
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tricia (Ricia) Nichols of Galesburg, Illinois, who left us far too soon on April 15, 2025, at the age of 49. Born in Monmouth, Illinois, Tricia’s life was one of kindness, compassion, and unwavering love for those she held dear. She was a treasured presence, not just in her family but in the lives of everyone she met. Her loss leaves a deep void that will be felt for years to come, and she will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Tricia was a woman of great warmth, a friend to many, and a true beacon of light in every room she entered. Known for her generous spirit and nurturing heart, she effortlessly made those around her feel seen and valued. Whether through a kind word, a listening ear, or her thoughtful actions, Tricia was the type of person who made a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. Her ability to offer support, love, and understanding was unmatched, and those who were fortunate enough to be in her life will carry those memories with them always.
As a mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Tricia brought a sense of unity and love to those closest to her. Her family meant the world to her, and her loyalty, care, and unwavering dedication to them were evident in every aspect of her life. The loss of such a deeply loved individual has left her family with an unimaginable grief, but they take comfort in knowing that Tricia’s legacy of love and kindness will continue to guide them in the years to come.
In honor of Tricia’s memory, the Nichols family invites friends, family, and loved ones to join them for a visitation on Thursday, April 24th, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville, Illinois. Following the visitation, a memorial service will be held from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, where we will gather to celebrate and honor the beautiful life Tricia led.
During this incredibly difficult time, the Nichols family appreciates the love, support, and prayers extended by the community. While Tricia’s physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. In her memory, we encourage all who knew her to continue sharing her kindness, warmth, and love with the world around them, just as she did so effortlessly.
