It is with heavy hearts that we remember Sherry A. Brownell, who passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025, at the age of 26. Sherry’s vibrant spirit and generous heart touched the lives of all who knew her, and her loss leaves a profound emptiness in our community.
Born and raised in Rochester, Sherry was known for her quick wit, artistic talent, and infectious laughter. Her passion for music and art brought joy not only to herself but to everyone around her. She had a remarkable ability to light up any room she entered with her warmth and kindness.
Sherry’s generosity was boundless. Always ready to help others, she lived with an open heart and a giving spirit. She was the kind of person who would go out of her way to support family, friends, and even strangers. Her compassion extended deeply to animals, as she had a lifelong love for caring for wildlife and her many pets.
A true adventurer at heart, Sherry loved exploring new places and chasing the beauty of the outdoors. Whether it was spontaneous day trips or quiet moments in nature, she sought out experiences that filled her with joy and wonder.
She is survived by her loving mother, Stephanie Brownell; her father, Daniel Brownell; her siblings—Bethany Brownell, Phillip Sage, Ashlee, and Daniel J. Brownell—and her cherished niece and nephews. Sherry’s extended family, including many aunts, uncles, and cousins, along with countless friends, mourn her passing and celebrate her life.
Sherry’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and an unyielding kindness that will forever remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her. Though she left us too soon, her memory will continue to inspire and comfort us all.
