In Loving Memory of Roland Keith Davis, Affectionately Known as “Tinsey”
It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that the family of Roland Keith Davis, lovingly known to many as “Tinsey,” shares the news of his unexpected passing on April 20th, in Calhoun, Georgia. Roland was a devoted father, a proud grandfather, a loving brother, and a cherished friend whose spirit touched countless lives. His departure leaves a deep sense of loss for all who had the honor of knowing him.
Born and raised with a heart full of kindness and resilience, Roland lived his life with authenticity, humor, and unwavering dedication to his family. To those who knew him best, Tinsey was more than just a father or brother—he was a steady source of strength and a beacon of unconditional love. His wisdom, laughter, and unforgettable presence created lifelong memories that will continue to bring comfort in the days ahead.
Roland is survived by his three beloved sons—Johnny, James, and Randy—who each carry within them the values, lessons, and love their father instilled. He also leaves behind four treasured grandchildren who were the light of his life, as well as his dear sister, Vicki, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories and sibling closeness. Their bond was one of deep loyalty and affection that stood the test of time.
While Roland spent his final days in Georgia, his heart never left New York—the place he called home for so much of his life. It was his family’s wish, and they believe it would be his, too, to return him to New York for his final resting place. As they face this heart-wrenching journey of loss and remembrance, the Davis family is humbly asking for the support of friends, extended family, and community members to help make this final homecoming possible.
The process of bringing Tinsey home is both emotionally and financially burdensome, and any assistance—no matter the amount—would mean the world to his loved ones. Whether through a donation, a prayer, or a shared memory, your support will not only ease the weight on the family’s shoulders but will help honor a life that was so deeply loved and valued.
In these tender moments of mourning, we find strength in community and in the shared love that surrounded Roland throughout his life. Let us come together to celebrate the man he was—a caring father, a loving grandfather, a loyal brother, and a friend who left an imprint on every heart he touched.
May Roland Keith Davis rest in peace, reunited with those who went before him, and may his legacy continue to live on in the love he gave and the lives he shaped. He will be missed dearly but never forgotten.
