It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Jill Nicole Balser, age 39, of Walkersville, West Virginia, on April 19, 2025. A beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Jill’s departure has left an immeasurable void in the lives of those who loved her. Though her time with us was far too short, the love she gave and the light she brought into the world will forever shine in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
Jill was known and admired for her warm spirit, gentle strength, and the unwavering love she extended to everyone around her. Whether it was through a comforting word, a kind gesture, or a heartfelt smile, Jill had a rare gift for making people feel seen, valued, and loved. She touched countless lives simply by being herself — honest, compassionate, and kind to her core.
Born into the loving family of Gerald Lee and Sandra Jean Lowther Singleton, Jill grew up with strong values rooted in love, faith, and family. Those values stayed with her throughout her life and shaped her into the incredible woman she became — someone who prioritized connection, found joy in everyday moments, and gave selflessly to others.
Jill shared a deep and enduring love with her husband, Joshua “Josh” Paul Balser. Their bond was one of true partnership, filled with laughter, support, and shared dreams. Together, they built a life filled with love, and their greatest joy came in raising their daughter, Lily, who was the light of Jill’s life. Jill was a devoted and nurturing mother whose love will continue to guide Lily in the years ahead.
She is also survived by her siblings, whose lives she enriched with love and support, as well as extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly. Her presence at family gatherings, her ability to bring people together, and her heartfelt sincerity will never be forgotten.
Jill’s legacy is one of love — the kind that uplifts, heals, and endures. Her memory lives on in the hearts of her family, in the laughter of her daughter, and in the quiet acts of kindness inspired by her example.
