With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jason Travis McQueen, who left this world on April 15, 2025, at the age of 46. A beloved partner, father, friend, and steadfast member of the Hazel Green community, Jason’s life was a testament to love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those he held dear.

Jason was the kind of person who left a lasting impression — not through grand gestures, but through everyday acts of integrity, generosity, and warmth. He was a man of deep character and quiet strength, known for his infectious smile, his steady presence, and the genuine care he extended to everyone he met.

Born and raised in Alabama, Jason embraced the values of family, hard work, and community from an early age. Whether helping a neighbor fix a fence, offering guidance to a friend in need, or volunteering his time, Jason always showed up. He believed that real strength came from being there for others — and he lived that belief every day.

Above all else, Jason’s greatest joy and deepest pride came from the love he shared with his family. As a devoted partner and father, Jason poured his heart into every moment. His family was the center of his world — a source of purpose, strength, and immeasurable joy. He led with love, guided with wisdom, and always put the needs of his loved ones above his own.

Jason was the kind of father who never missed a game, a school play, or a chance to offer encouragement. He taught through example — showing what it meant to live honorably, work hard, and treat others with respect. To his children, he was a hero in the truest sense — someone whose love was unconditional, and whose presence made the world feel safe and whole.

Those who knew Jason best will remember his vibrant spirit, his easy laughter, and his ability to make people feel at ease. He had a gift for finding connection — whether sharing stories, cracking jokes, or simply listening with an open heart. He made others feel valued, seen, and loved — a rare gift that defined the way he moved through life.

Jason’s absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but his legacy continues to live on in the lives he touched. His memory is woven into every story told around the dinner table, every lesson passed down, and every act of kindness inspired by his example.

To honor his life and the impact he made, a visitation will be held on April 21st, 2025, where family, friends, and community members are invited to come together, share memories, and celebrate the man Jason was — and always will be in our hearts.

In this time of loss, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Jason’s beloved partner, his children, his extended family, and all who knew and loved him. May you find comfort in the love he gave, the strength he embodied, and the community that surrounds you now.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites those wishing to honor Jason’s memory to contribute to a local charity supporting veterans or families in need — causes that reflected his deep sense of service and compassion.

Rest peacefully, Jason Travis McQueen. Your life was a light in this world, and though you are no longer physically with us, your spirit will continue to guide, inspire, and comfort us for years to come.
