With profound sorrow and heavy hearts, the family and friends of Jamie Sue Turner announce her unexpected passing on April 21, 2025, at the tender age of 23. Jamie’s departure leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of those who knew and loved her, and her memory will continue to live on in the warmth, laughter, and light she brought into the world.
Born and raised in Columbus Junction, Iowa, Jamie was a cherished daughter, loyal friend, and vibrant soul who left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to cross her path. Whether you knew her for a moment or a lifetime, it was impossible not to be touched by her generous spirit, bright smile, and the way she made people feel seen, valued, and loved.
A Light in the Lives of Many
Jamie had a natural way of uplifting others. Her presence was magnetic, her laugh infectious, and her kindness knew no bounds. She approached life with an open heart and unshakable compassion, always ready to lend a helping hand, offer a word of encouragement, or sit quietly beside someone in need.
Whether she was spending time with her family, enjoying the outdoors, connecting with friends, or exploring her personal passions, Jamie did so with sincerity and soul. She loved deeply, gave freely, and embraced life with a courage that belied her years.

Honoring Jamie’s Life
To celebrate Jamie’s life and honor her memory, visitation services will be held on Sunday, April 27th, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services in Columbus Junction. This will be a time for family, friends, and members of the community to gather in reflection, remembrance, and support.
A Celebration of Life will follow on Saturday, May 3rd, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Columbus Junction American Legion. All are welcome to attend and share stories, memories, and the enduring spirit of the young woman who meant so much to so many.
A Lasting Legacy of Love
In Jamie’s memory, may we all strive to live with more compassion, to speak more kindly, and to hold one another a little closer. Her life, though brief, was full of purpose and impact.
