With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of Chase Hernandez, who left this world far too soon on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, at the age of just 32.
Chase was so many things to so many people. A beloved son, a devoted father to four beautiful children, a loving brother, and a loyal friend. He carried within him a light that made people feel at ease—a warmth that you didn’t just feel, but remembered. Chase had a way of showing up for people, whether it was through a quick joke, a bear hug, or simply sitting with someone in silence when they needed it most.
If you ever heard his laughter, you know it was something special. It was the kind of laugh that filled a room and lifted spirits. That joy he spread was contagious, and it’s one of the many things about him that will be missed deeply. Chase didn’t just pass through life—he made impressions, built bonds, and left pieces of his heart with those who knew him.
He worked hard, not just for himself, but for his family. Everything he did—every sacrifice, every long day—was rooted in his love for his children. Being a father was one of the greatest sources of pride in Chase’s life. He spoke of his kids often, and everything he dreamed for was built around giving them a better future. His love for them was fierce, protective, and full of joy. He was the kind of dad who’d get down on the floor to play, show up for every little thing, and make everyday moments feel special.
Chase also had an incredible ability to make friends wherever he went. He lived fully, loved deeply, and never met a stranger. His friends would describe him as someone who had your back no matter what. He didn’t judge; he listened. Now, in the wake of this sudden and heartbreaking loss, Chase’s family finds themselves in an incredibly difficult position—grieving the loss of someone irreplaceable while also facing financial hardships that no one should have to bear during a time like this. Funerals and end-of-life arrangements are costly, and without warning, the burden is now on the loved ones he left behind.
