In Loving Memory of Austin Skimehorn

The community of White Plains, Kentucky is grieving the devastating and untimely loss of Austin Skimehorn, who passed away on June 24, 2025. Austin’s death has left an ache in the hearts of those who knew him—a loss not only of a hardworking man, but of a loyal friend, a trusted colleague, and a deeply valued member of the community.

At Young Concrete Supply, Austin was much more than an employee. He was family. From the very beginning, he stood beside the company as it was just taking shape. He was there when the first concrete trucks were picked up, there when the first loads were poured, and there—day in and day out—helping build not just a business, but a legacy rooted in dedication, grit, and heart.

Austin never sought the spotlight. He worked long, honest days, asked for nothing in return, and gave everything he had. He was the kind of man whose actions spoke louder than words—steady, dependable, and always ready to lend a hand. He helped pour the literal foundation of the company, and in doing so, he laid the emotional foundation too—through loyalty, friendship, and quiet strength.

To his coworkers, he was the one you could count on no matter the job, no matter the weather, no matter the hour. To his friends, he was someone who always showed up. And to everyone lucky enough to know him, he was a good man—humble, kind, and full of integrity.

Austin’s absence is deeply felt. His easy smile, his calming presence, and his unwavering commitment to the people around him leave a void that words alone can’t fill. The crew at Young Concrete Supply will feel his absence at every job site, in every early morning start, and in every quiet moment where his strength once stood.

But while Austin may be gone, his legacy remains. It lives in the foundation he helped build, in the values he stood for, and in the countless lives he touched along the way.

Rest easy, Austin Skimehorn.

Thank you for your loyalty, your laughter, your heart, and your hard work.

You will forever be a part of who we are and everything we do.
