Homicide Investigation Underway in Death of 17-Year-Old Christian Walker in Keene

 

KEENE, N.H. — Authorities are continuing to investigate the tragic shooting death of Christian Walker, a 17-year-old from Orange, Massachusetts, who was killed early Wednesday morning in Keene.

At approximately 1:00 a.m., officers from the Keene Police Department and New Hampshire State Police responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting in a parking lot on Winchester Street. When law enforcement arrived on the scene, they found Walker suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Cheshire Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 1:49 a.m.

Later that day, Associate Medical Examiner Dr. Abigail Alexander conducted an autopsy and confirmed that Walker died from a single gunshot wound to the abdomen. The manner of death has been ruled a homicide.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under active investigation. However, officials have confirmed that all individuals involved in the incident have been identified, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.

“This is a heartbreaking loss of a young life,” authorities stated. “We are committed to finding the truth and ensuring justice is served.”

As the investigation continues, officials are urging anyone with additional information to come forward. The Keene Police Department and New Hampshire State Police are working diligently to uncover the full details surrounding the case.
