Leroy Fesili, 31, Killed in Daylight Shooting
KENT, Wash. — A quiet afternoon in Kent’s East Hill neighborhood turned into a scene of heartbreak and chaos on June 16, 2025, as Leroy Fesili, 31, lost his life in a broad daylight shooting
Kent police received multiple calls reporting gunshots near the 10400 block of SE 256th Street. When officers arrived on scene, they found Fesili suffering from a life-threatening gunshot Despite immediate efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspected shooter, a 28-year-old Kent resident, did not flee. He remained at the scene, surrendered his firearm to responding officers, and is reportedly cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation. Authorities have not yet released his name as they continue to piece together the events that led to the shooting.

In the wake of the shooting, the name Leroy Fesili has become more than just another headline. To those who knew him, Leroy was a vibrant, kind-hearted man with a magnetic personality and an unwavering love for his family and friends. Described as generous, humorous, and dependable, he leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and joy.
