With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Verla Denise Holmes, who departed this life on April 8, 2025, at the age of 44. Her absence leaves an irreplaceable void in the lives of her loved ones and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Verla was a vibrant and caring soul whose warmth and compassion touched countless hearts. She brought joy into every room she entered and was known for her loving nature, radiant smile, and the gentle strength that defined her spirit. To know Verla was to be welcomed with open arms, listened to without judgment, and loved without condition.
A devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Verla leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and kindness. Her mother, Francine; her beloved daughter, Regina; and her cherished siblings remain to carry forward the lessons she taught—lessons rooted in empathy, grace, and unconditional love.
Verla’s life was rich with meaningful moments—holidays filled with laughter, late-night talks, shared meals, and acts of quiet generosity that often went unnoticed but were never unappreciated. She was the kind of person who made others feel like family, who remembered the small details, and who offered support before you even had to ask.
Though her time here was far too short, the memories Verla leaves behind are eternal. Her voice, her laughter, her unwavering love—these remain with us, woven into the fabric of our lives.
To honor and celebrate her life, a visitation will be held on April 23, 2025, offering family and friends an opportunity to gather, reflect, and offer support. A funeral service will follow on April 26, 2025, as we come together to pay tribute to a beautiful life that was lived with heart and soul.
The Holmes family wishes to express their deepest gratitude for the outpouring of love, condolences, and support during this incredibly difficult time. Your prayers, kind words, and presence bring comfort as they navigate this tremendous loss.
