With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we share the devastating news of the passing of Henna Aslam, a beloved 21-year-old daughter, sister, friend, and student from Dayton, New Jersey. Henna, a shining light within the Rutgers University community and a cherished member of the Muslim community, tragically lost her life in a car accident on Tuesday.
Henna’s presence was a source of joy and warmth to all who knew her. Her kindness, intelligence, and boundless energy left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. As a dedicated student, Henna was deeply committed to her studies and had a bright future ahead of her. But it was not just her academic achievements that made her stand out; it was her compassionate spirit and her unwavering dedication to helping others.
As a daughter and sister, Henna brought love and laughter to her family. Her close-knit bond with her siblings, her parents, and all of her loved ones was a testament to the deep affection she shared with those closest to her.
