With broken hearts and deep sorrow, we share the passing of Michael Pouba, who left this world far too soon on April 19, 2025, at just 26 years old. Michael was a bright light to everyone who knew him—a beloved son, friend, and member of the Grand Rapids community whose kindness, humor, and compassionate heart will be missed beyond measure.
Michael lived with purpose and authenticity. He was known for his ability to bring people together, whether through a warm conversation, a shared laugh, or simply by showing up with unwavering support. His presence had a way of lifting spirits, and his loyalty to loved ones was steadfast. He was the kind of person who made others feel seen, heard, and valued—an irreplaceable gift to all who knew him.
Michael’s life, though short, was filled with meaningful connections and quiet acts of generosity. He leaves behind a legacy of love and unforgettable memories that will be held dearly by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
Visitation services to honor Michael will be held on April 25th and 26th, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Spirit Church. These gatherings offer a chance for all who loved him to come together in remembrance, reflection, and shared grief.
In lieu of flowers, Michael’s family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, the Alzheimer’s Association, or a charity of your choice—causes that reflect the compassion and hope he carried throughout his life.
As we say goodbye to Michael, we hold tight to the joy he brought, the kindness he shared, and the love that will forever remain in our hearts.
