In Loving Memory of Kamron Taque
South Dallas, Texas

In the early hours of Sunday morning, the South Dallas community was shaken by a senseless act of violence that claimed the life of Kamron Taque, a vibrant and promising 18-year-old with his whole future ahead of him. Around 3:35 a.m., Kamron was fatally wounded in a double shooting that occurred in the 4300 block—a tragedy that has left his family, friends, and community heartbroken.

Kamron was more than just a name in a headline. He was a young man full of life, with dreams just beginning to unfold. Those who knew him remember a kind heart, a quick smile, and an infectious energy that could brighten even the darkest day. Whether it was through school, friendships, or his passion for life, Kamron left an impact on everyone who crossed his path.

The details surrounding the shooting remain under investigation, but what is clear is the profound sense of loss now felt by so many. A second victim was also injured in the incident and is reportedly recovering, though the emotional wounds left behind will take far longer to heal.

Kamron’s family now faces an unimaginable grief—mourning a son, a brother, a friend whose life was stolen far too soon. The community stands with them, unified in sorrow and in the shared hope that justice will be served. No family should ever have to endure such a loss, and no community should be left reeling in the aftermath of yet another act of violence.

As we remember Kamron, we also reflect on the urgency of creating a safer future for all our youth. His life mattered. His story matters. And his absence is deeply felt.

We extend our deepest condolences to the Taque family and to all who knew and loved Kamron. May you find strength in one another and solace in the love and memories he leaves behind.

Rest in peace, Kamron. You will not be forgotten.
