In Loving Memory of Our Little Angel, Lucien

Fillmore, CA, It is with unimaginable grief and sorrow that the community of Fillmore, California, joins together to mourn the tragic and untimely passing of Lucien, a bright, joyful 5-year-old boy lovingly known as Punky, who was taken far too soon in a devastating car accident.

Just days ago, Lucien celebrated a proud milestone—his preschool graduation—with beaming smiles and dreams of all the wonders the future might hold. Full of life and promise, he was already showing the kind of compassion, energy, and happiness that touched everyone who knew him. In those short five years, Lucien made a lasting impact that will never be forgotten.

Described by family and friends as a ray of sunshine, Lucien’s infectious laughter, boundless hugs, and wide-eyed wonder brought warmth into every space he entered. Whether he was playing with toys, dancing to his favorite music, or simply wrapping his arms around someone in love, Lucien radiated light. His heart was big, his spirit was gentle, and his joy was truly contagious.

Lucien is survived by his heartbroken parents—Jose Iniguez, his devoted father, and Myryam Castillo, his loving mother—as well as his 2-year-old little sister Juni, who not only saw Lucien as her big brother but as her best friend and hero. The bond they shared was unbreakable, even in the face of this unbearable loss.

The grief of losing such a young, beautiful soul is indescribable. It has left a hole in the hearts of his family, friends, and everyone in the Fillmore community who had the honor of watching Lucien grow, laugh, and love so deeply. His absence is already profoundly felt, yet his presence will forever live on in the stories, memories, and love that surround him.

At this time, the family is reaching out for support—emotionally, spiritually, and financially—as they navigate the unimaginable pain of losing a child. Donations will go toward funeral and memorial expenses, allowing Lucien to be honored with the dignity and love he so richly deserves.

In honoring Lucien’s memory, let us remember the laughter, the kindness, and the joy he so freely gave. Let us strive to carry forward his light by cherishing our loved ones and spreading the kind of love and warmth that Lucien gave every single day of his short but beautiful life.

Rest in peace, sweet Punky.
You will forever be our angel, watching over us with your beautiful smile.
We love you. We miss you. And we will never forget you. 💛🕊️
