Rayville, Louisiana, With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Joshua Reese Boies, who departed this life on June 30, 2025, at the age of 43.
Born on February 15, 1982, in West Monroe, Louisiana, Joshua was a devoted father, son, and partner whose presence brought comfort, strength, and joy to those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his beloved children, Hannah Grace Cook, Owen Reese Rimes, and William “Coop” CooperBeckhom Boies; his parents, William Glen and Lilia Boies; and the love of his life, Sandra Lynn Blackmon.
Joshua will be remembered not only for his deep love for his family but also for his kind heart, steady character, and unwavering support for those around him. His loss is deeply felt by all whose lives he touched.
Memorial services to honor Joshua’s life will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Mangham Baptist Church in Mangham, Louisiana, preceded by a visitation at 9:30 AM.
As family and friends gather to celebrate his life, they carry forward Joshua’s memory in their hearts—with gratitude for the time shared and sorrow for a life gone too soon. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
