14-Year-Old Pennsylvania Girl Rescued in Georgia Human Trafficking Investigation

A 14-year-old girl from Pennsylvania, identified as Enci Wu (also known as Aubrey), was rescued in Jasper, Georgia, after being missing for over three months. She had been reported missing from her home in Palmer Township, Pennsylvania, on January 10, 2025. Authorities confirmed her safe recovery on April 15, 2025, marking the end of a 94-day search.

Enci was located without injury and is currently under the custody of Georgia Protective Services. While the discovery brought relief, Northampton County District Attorney Stephen Baratta emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and not yet cause for celebration. Tensions at home due to parental restrictions may have contributed to her disappearance, and social service agencies are assessing whether returning home would be safe.

The circumstances surrounding how Enci arrived in Georgia and her living conditions during the time she was missing are under investigation. Authorities are working to determine the full extent of her situation and ensure her safety moving forward.

Enci’s mother, Jade Wu, expressed relief on social media, noting the end of a “94-day nightmare” and marking Enci’s 15th birthday. She has requested privacy as efforts continue to ensure the teen’s protection and support.

The Palmer Township Police Department continues to actively investigate the case. Authorities have not yet released further details regarding potential suspects or charges.

This case highlights the ongoing issue of human trafficking and the importance of vigilance and cooperation among law enforcement agencies to protect vulnerable individuals.
