Dallas Police Pursuit Ends in Fatal Crash Involving Stolen Vehicle; One Juvenile Dead, Two Critically Injured

DALLAS, TX — June 6, 2025 — A police pursuit in Dallas turned tragic in the early hours of Friday morning when a Dallas Police Department squad car collided with a stolen vehicle occupied by three juvenile suspects. The incident has left one teenager dead, two others critically injured, and raised pressing questions about the dangerous consequences of armed carjackings and high-speed chases.

According to Dallas Police, the chain of events began at approximately 1:40 a.m. when officers responded to an armed robbery report in the 9800 block of Dale Crest Drive. There, three juveniles allegedly held a victim at gunpoint and stole their vehicle before fleeing the scene.

Roughly 20 minutes later, officers located the stolen vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. A pursuit ensued, culminating in a devastating collision just before 2:00 a.m. in the 3100 block of W Northwest Highway. During the incident, the stolen car crashed into a police vehicle with significant force.

Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and began administering aid to the three juvenile suspects. All three were transported to a nearby hospital, where one of the teens succumbed to their injuries. The two remaining suspects are currently in critical condition.

The two officers involved in the crash were also hospitalized but have since been treated and released. Police have not released the names or ages of the juvenile suspects due to their status as minors.

“This is a deeply unfortunate situation,” a Dallas Police spokesperson stated Friday morning. “It underscores the serious risks associated with armed offenses and fleeing from law enforcement. Our hearts go out to everyone impacted by this tragic event.”
