Body of Missing Saginaw Township Man Found in Mexico After Heroic Rescue Attempt

According to relatives, the man was swept into the ocean after heroically saving his friend, who had been caught in a strong current and was being pulled out to sea.
The tragic incident occurred earlier this week while the group was vacationing along the Mexican coast. After successfully helping his friend reach safety, the man was reportedly overcome by the powerful surf and disappeared beneath the waves.
Local authorities and rescue teams had been searching the area for several days before recovering his body.
“Our hearts are broken, but we are so proud of the bravery he showed in his final moments,” a family spokesperson said in a statement.
