Community on Edge After Fatal Shooting in Buena Vista Township BUENA VISTA TOWNSHIP, Mich. —
The Buena Vista Police Department is actively investigating a fatal shooting that took place in the early morning hours of Saturday, April 26, 2025.
At approximately 4:14 a.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 2900
block of Arlington Road. Upon arrival, authorities located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite life-saving efforts by emergency personnel, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not yet released the identity of the deceased, pending notification of next of kin. Investigators spent several hours processing the scene for evidence and speaking with witnesses in an effort to piece together the events that led to the deadly incident.
The Buena Vista Police Department is urging anyone who may have information related to the shooting to come forward. Tips can be submitted directly to the department or anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
As the investigation continues, community members are left grappling with another act of violence in their neighborhood. Authorities have assured the public that they are doing everything possible to bring those responsible to justice.
