It is with heavy hearts and deep respect that we share the passing of Harold Chrismon, fondly known by many as “Weird Harold.” A true original, Harold was a beacon of creativity, humor, and heart—a beloved artist, loyal friend, and dedicated parent who left an unforgettable mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Born with an eye for the extraordinary and a spirit that marched to the beat of its own drum, Harold lived life with authenticity and color. His nickname, “Weird Harold,” wasn’t just a name—it was a badge of honor that represented his unique outlook on life, his sharp wit, and his ability to see beauty where others saw ordinary. He found inspiration in the world around him, and through his art, he offered that vision to the rest of us—a gift that will live on through the works he created and the lives he touched.
Harold’s love for BBQ was the stuff of legend. His smoke sessions weren’t just about food—they were events, full of laughter, stories, and the unmistakable scent of something delicious sizzling on the grill. He could turn a backyard gathering into a full-blown celebration, fueled by good music, better company, and a whole lot of heart.
Beyond his talents and passions, Harold was most deeply proud of his role as a parent. His children were his greatest joy, and he poured his love and wisdom into every moment he spent with them. He taught them to be curious, to embrace their own uniqueness, and to never take life too seriously. The stories he shared, the lessons he offered, and the unconditional love he gave will live on in them forever.
In accordance with his final wishes, Harold will be cremated and returned to Texas soil, the land he loved and called home. A heartfelt gathering will be held to celebrate his incredible life—a moment for friends and family to share memories, laughter, and tears, and to honor the soul of a man who was truly one of a kind.
As we say goodbye to Harold, we find comfort in knowing that his spirit lives on—in the art he created, the stories he told, the meals he cooked, and the countless people he inspired just by being himself. His was a life boldly lived and deeply loved.
