Milton Community Rallies Around Wounded Officer After Tragic Ambush
A trusted and well-respected Milton police officer now lies in a hospital bed, fighting to recover from serious injuries sustained during an ambush on what began as a routine public safety call. The officer, identified as Sgt. Locke, was gravely wounded in the line of duty, and his family now faces an agonizing wait by his side.
The suspect in the incident, 38-year-old Aaron LaRoche, has a documented history of mental health struggles and previous threats directed at law enforcement. For months, LaRoche made disturbing posts online—raising concerns that, in hindsight, seem even more troubling. Thankfully, no other individuals were physically harmed during the incident.
The Milton community is shaken, and hearts are heavy as we come together to support Sgt. Locke, his loved ones, and the entire police force during this incredibly difficult time. His bravery and dedication to public safety are a reminder of the risks our officers take each day in service of others.
As Sgt. Locke continues to fight for recovery, we ask that you keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers. The road ahead is uncertain, but the strength of a community united in hope and gratitude is powerful.
